While Rita has to go out this cold, rainy morning, Raff and Ginette sleep in!

Did a lot better than most of the students who have worked the front desk and/or been night auditors for years. So far, doing well in class.

Went out to dinner with Cat and Gina to TGI Friday's.

Still gimping around. The leg is better but still stiff, especially when I sit in class for hours!

First Day of Class

Rafe and Ginette relax in the hotel room at the Springhill Suites, with the USA Today, while Rita attends the first day of class.

Yesterday several of the trainers and trainees were late because of fog at DTW. Went out to dinner with everyone at Copper Canyon. They are a surprisingly good group of people. Ranging in age from early 20's to late 50's. They come from Pennsylvania, Maine, North Carolina, Florida, Las Vegas and other places.

Today we had the obligatory "tell us about yourself" introductions. Most have been night auditors or front desk clerks. In the afternoon (the "girls" went to lunch at Baha Fresh?) we got our laptops and started working with the hotel software. Homework and studying to do this evening.

Christmas Eve

Raff and Ginette find shelter with a small town political activist on Christmas Eve. Mrs. R. takes time from trying to keep stupidity from reaching critical levels, to run a waystation for runaway gingerbread persons.

Training

Our adventure starts next Thursday in Southfield! We'll be staying at the Springhill Suites.
