Flagler Beach, Florida

Down here with Rita's Mom for the Holidays.  Nice and warm.  Hope Rita takes us to the Beach.

Brockville, ON

Beautiful town on the St. Lawrence.  We want to visit again and take the boat tours of the Thousand Island.

Very nice motel and great people.

Cotulla, Texas

Shale Oil discovered here.  Town booming.  Hotel was not finished.  Stayed at the La Quinta - very nice.

Set everything up and did training but left early because they were not ready to open.

Manistee, Michigan

Pretty town.  I'd like to visit again.  Nice people.

Ludington, Michigan

May 2 to May 9, 2013.  Some catching up on our travels.  Nice drive over and back.

Leamington, ON

After a not too long visit with customs, we arrived in Leamington on Sunday (the 14th of April) afternoon.

The hotel is nice but they had some installation issues and Rita will have to stay an extra day.

We think Rita should bring us back here sometime to go to Peelee Island, to visit Peelee National Park and of course to visit the vineyards in the area.

There are lots and lots of greenhouses here.  The have an anual Tomato Festival. This is the home of Heinz Ketchup so lot's of tomatoes are grown around here.

Sarasota, FL

Feb 24th to the 3rd of Mar.

We thought we were going to be home for awhile but we were only home two days before going to Florida.  It was hot there the first couple of days though we were too busy to sit in the sun.  The second half of our stay it was in the 60's for highs. 

It was, of course, the "season" and very crowded and busy. 

Glad to be home now even if Rita has a sinus infection.  The next job in Canada has been postponed so we're home at least a week.

Rhinelander, WI

Feb 14th to the 21st.  We went right to Rhinelander from Dalton - well we drove back to Chattanooga to returned the rental car, then flew to Atlanta, changed planes to Minneapolis and then another flight to Rhinelander.  The hotel was right in town about 10 minutes from the airport.  What a long day!

Quiet a bit of snow on the ground and it snowed a couple of times while we were there.  One morning it was -21!!!. 

We did have a nice suite on the third floor with a balcony (way to cold to sit out there!) a separate bedroom and a kitchenette. 

There was a restaurant onsite and the staff was very nice.

On the way back Rita got a $400 voucher for another flight by volunteering to take the next flight.  She got to go back to the hotel and sleep in the same room and have lunch on the airline before catching the afternoon flight.

Dalton, GA

Feb 7 to the 14th.  Dalton is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.  Very hilly.  We did get to drive around a little and they have a lovely downtown.

Lancaster, PA

Wow, we are so far behind.  Until this week Rita's been working jobs one after another.

Jan 28 to Feb 04.  Again we didn't see much of the area except the drive to and from the airport.  The countryside was very pretty.  We also would have loved to go to Hersey which is not far from the Harrisburg airport.

Mississauga ON

Back to Canada again on the 13th.  This was a truck stop in a business area of Mississauga.  It was the nicest truck stop with a five story hotel, Husky restaurant and Chinese take out during the week.  We had a 2 room suite on the 5th floor that was very nice.  The staff was easy to work with and no middle of the night calls.

Battle Creek, MI

After 2 days home we left again for Battle Creek where we spent New Year's Eve.  We ran into snow driving both ways but not too bad.  An average job, older motel but the staff was nice.

Columbus GA

December 17 to Christmas Eve.  This was a last minute job.  The staff was very nice and this was a fairly easy site.  Rita also got to meet on of the other trainers who was in Columbus at another hotel at the same time!  Rita said they had a nice dinner and talked about all the trainer issues.

Coming back late Christmas Eve we ran into some snow on the drive home. It was nice to get home for Christmas.

Toronto - China Town

We were in Toronto from the 6th of December to the 13th.  Had some very good Thai food.  We got a chance to walk around a little and we could see the CN tower from the hotel.  Otherwise Rita was very busy working again and even though we had a great room with a jacuzzi she never got to use it.

Thanksgiving and Shelbyville, TN

Hi,  we made it back from the North on Thanksgiving eve.  Rita slept in the next day, Thanksgiving.  The family had their Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, Rita cooked.  Great turkey and some very good pumpkin cake.

Then on Sunday, Rita went to Shelbyville, TN.  The hotel was not open yet and no staff to train so Rita set up the computers, built the rates and got everything ready for the opening in a couple of weeks.  We stayed in Murfreesboro and left Tuesday morning.

On Thursday Rita went to Cleveland area for a job interview.  We won't know the until Monday afternoon.
